Surviving a Tough Workout

Some days, surviving a tough workout is the best you can do…but hey, if you survived it, you made it through and THAT’S what counts!  It never ceases to amaze me how you might have done the same workout any number of times, and then one day, out of the blue, that workout that used to be one of your ‘easy’ ones becomes suddenly hard.  Why is that?  It might be any number of things.  It could be that you are really torn down from a workout the day before, it might be that you haven’t been getting enough calories to fuel your workout, or maybe, and this is the best one, maybe you are stronger than the last time you did the workout and are pushing much harder than you have in the past without even realizing it!  Be sure to look at your calorie intake and post-workout supplement like Recovery Drink for optimum performance, then just dig in and resolve to feel GREAT about having given your best!   Then the next time you do the workout, look for areas of improvement like finishing a track, jumping a little higher, squatting a little lower or lifting a little heavier!  And use those worksheets to track your progress-you can’t know where you’re going unless you know where you’ve been!
